Follow a day in the life of Leopold Bloom and his fellow Dubliners - the protagonists of James Joyce's literary masterpiece Ulysses - with a celebration of readings, performances, music, food and drink as Bloomsday Buffalo celebrates its 11th year. This year's Bloomsday Buffalo celebration promises to be the largest in the history of the event in Western New York.

 Come one, come all and bring your Macintosh!

On Wednesday June 11, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm, the Bloomsday Buffalo tradition continues with The Cyclops Session based on Chapter 12 of Ulysses set in Barney Kiernan’s Pub at Ulrich’s Restaurant, 674 Ellicott Street, Buffalo, which will assume the name of Barney Kiernan’s for the day.  Attendees will enjoy free hors d’oeuvres.

 

Cinegael  Film Festival June 13th-15th

 

On Saturday, June 14th, join us at Talking Leaves for the removal of our fictitious character and on to Bidwell Parkway at 11:00am for Paddy Dignam's Funeral and continue on to Coles for the funeral breakfast with readings, music and song. 

 

On Monday, June 16 -THE GREAT DAY!

 

The main Bloomsday event will take place on Monday June 16th at the Andrews Theatre home of the Irish Classical Theatre Company,  625 Main Street in Downtown Buffalo

(5:00 pm - 10:00 pm)

The festivities will spill out onto Main Street as the readings, performance and music of the era continue inside the theatre.  Take part in The Bonnie Bonnet Derby (Best Hat Competition) and the Bloomin’ Sweepstakes (a raffle with various prizes).
